I'm RJ Larson
I do things with AI, math and code.
I also write occasionally here, and try to make videos on YouTube.

I am a software developer and mathematician with a passion for building tools to encourage learning.
I’ve been programming since I was 12 years old. I was always a tech-savvy kid, and when I was in middle school, I had a great teacher who helped push me into learning as much as I can. I hope, with my work, to do that for others as much as possible.
I am working as an AI model trainer as a contractor. My writings always reflect my personal opinion, and never the opinions of any employer of mine.
My current projects include Volta, a Rust-based tensor and autograd engine, and Vimprove, a RAG chatbot for customizing Neovim.
Here are a few technologies I've been working with recently:My studies at Penn State encompassed a comprehensive foundation in mathematical disciplines essential to modern computer science. This diverse mathematical background gives me unique problem-solving perspectives applicable to software development challenges.
Relevant coursework: Probability theory, differential equations, statistics, numerical analysis, data structures and algorithms, linear algebra, abstract algebra, real analysis, and coding theory.
